But God

4:30 p.m. the telephone rang
The voice on the end of the line was fearful
Come quickly, I need help
Cold December night
Destiny took its toll
As she struggled to gain control
Fighting to live
Man showed no mercy
Her life was meaningless to them
They took what they wanted
Her life now was haunted
By the thought that noone would ever want her

What if the story ended there
What if the book was finished
The fairytale had no happy ever after
But God
Saw my need
Heard my heart's cry
Came to rescue me
He didn't set the clock
And leave it to unwind
The author interwove a mystery
In His love story
And it started with
But God

Broken, battered, bruised
Her heart was shattered
Wasn't it enough
Her story wasn't finished
Another life had been conceived
The product of man's depravity
But God in His love
Took a life to restore another
Her heart came to a stop
Her pen was stayed
The battle seemed over
The Devil had won

What if the story ended there
What if the book was finished
The fairytale had no happy ever after
But God
Saw my need
Heard my heart's cry
Came to rescue me
He didn't set the clock
And leave it to unwind
The author interwove a mystery
In His love story
And it started with
But God

She'd seen it all
Been through the fire
Seemed all that was left to do
Was to lay down and die
But God
Reached down
Took her broken heart
Picked up the pieces
And by the blood of Jesus
Filled her cup to overflowing
Helped her to love again
Set her on Christ so she could stand

My story didn't end there
My book isn't finished
My fairytale has a happy ever after
When God
Saw my need
Heard my heart's cry
Came to rescue me
He didn't set the clock
And leave it to unwind
My Daddy interwove a mystery
In His love story
And it started with
But God

Daddy to Me

Almighty Creator
The perfect lamb
Prince of peace
Son of man
Breath of life
Majestic one
Kinsman redeemer
God's only Son

Abba Father
Papa God
You love the sinner
Healing the scars
You made a way for grace
Helped me to see
Though you calmed the oceans
You're still
Daddy to me

Prince of peace
Mighty counselor
The way, the truth
And the life
You're the alpha and omega
The beginning and the end
Still I'm the one
You call friend

Abba Father
Papa God
You love the sinner
Healing the scars
You made a way for grace
Helped me to see
Though you calmed the oceans
You're still
Daddy to me

Look Up Little One

Seems you're lonely
Like a falling leaf
Rocking down under
the cradle of the breeze

Finding your place
In the shelter of color
Blending your soul
Until you're hidden from another

Look up little one
And see the Christ
Who calls you out
and gives you life

Under the shadow
Of a mighty oak
Rest your soul
And wear His cloak

Let the breeze
Cradle your cares
Don't lie there unseen
With only a shadow to wear

Look up little one
And see the Christ
Who calls you out
and gives you life

Shout to the conqueror
Who sets the soul aflame
Burning the secret crisis
For the glory of His name
For the glory of His name

Look up little one
And see the Christ
Who calls you out
and gives you life

Love Hurts

Harsh words exchanged
Men's hearts are changed
They are hardened to peace and love
Sadness abounds
Clamor is a familiar sound
They care nothing of Calvary love

It hurts, Daddy, it hurts
My broken heart on the mend
Has just been broken once again
It aches, Daddy, it aches
My soul so sore I cannot stand
Come and take me by the hand
Daddy, love hurts

A friendship in bloom
Why must it end so soon
Their story together is finished
All their love they send
They must write again
But that last chapter will always be remembered

It hurts, Daddy, it hurts
My broken heart on the mend
Has just been broken once again
It aches, Daddy, it aches
My soul so sore I cannot stand
Come and take me by the hand
Daddy, love hurts

The time has come
The end is near
A cherished one is slipping away
How can life go on
One hour without them
Abba Father will wipe the tears away

It hurts, Daddy, it hurts
My broken heart on the mend
Has just been broken once again
It aches, Daddy, it aches
My soul so sore I cannot stand
Come and take me by the hand
Daddy, love hurts

Waterfall of Grace

Lord, pour out your grace, wash over me with holy love
Blessings raining down, cascading from your throne above

I can feel the droplets on my face
I long to bathe in the pleasure of your grace

Under the waterfall of grace
Feeling the rapture of your sweet embrace
Sensing the pleasure on your face
I want to live in the waterfall of grace

Lord, surge grace through me and overflow on waiting hearts
Wet the thirsty land and flood your love through every part

Use me Lord as a channel of your power
So that others may enjoy this living shower

Under the waterfall of grace
Feeling the rapture of your sweet embrace
Sensing the pleasure on your face
I want to live in the waterfall of grace

Lord, when life is o'r and work on earth is finally done
May we stand before your throne in the presence of your only Son

Oh, the grace that then will spill on me
As His blessed face I finally see

Under the waterfall of grace
Forever beholding your face
Wrapped in your wonderful embrace
Eternal life in the waterfall of grace

The Purchase

Innocent man I'll carry my load
No need to suffer I won't be sold

Sleeping in the shepherd's den
Loathing all the schemes of men
I hear the cry of a lonely man
Calling me so to him I ran

There He was all alone up there
Crying out from the sin He had to bear
I remembered the evil man had done
And wondered why He was the one

I grieved the murder of an innocent man
Who wouldn't let me carry the schemes of man
My shackled heart released from hell
I found that indeed I was for sale

I beckoned Him to come on down
Until on His head they placed a crown
I cried out "Innocent man don't suffer for me!
I'm content with my pain, can't you see?"

His broken back was crimson red
I stood at His feet and groaned as He bled
He refused my plea and closed His eyes
Reconciling to love the pain and lies

I grieved the murder of an innocent man
Who wouldn't let me carry the schemes of man
My shackled heart released from hell
I found that indeed I was for sale

His skin was shredded, unraveled, and torn
I fell to my knees and with groanings I mourned
Darkness covered the blood-stained wood
I would've made Him come down if i could

Near the puddles of blood I was left there to stand
Gasping for breath at the sight of the God-man
Why was I beckoned to watch Him die
I'm friends with my pain and content with the lie.

I grieved the murder of an innocent man
Who wouldn't let me carry the schemes of man
My shackled heart released from hell
I found that indeed I was for sale

Innocent man, I'll carry my load
No need to suffer I won't be sold
The hurt is mine I wouldn't dare
Let them scorn you as you bear

I grieved the murder of an innocent man
Who wouldn't let me carry the schemes of man
My shackled heart released from hell
I found that indeed I was for sale

Innocent man's encounter with hell
My heart, His home, no longer for sale
Innocent man laid in His grave
Intercession for my soul was made

Victory etched on His face
With the Redeemed I took my place
Clothed in white, bought with a price
Seated on His throne, I'm no longer my own

For sale
I was bought with a price
For sale

Three words changed the course of man's life
Three words made a way for men to survive
The gravity of man's state diminished
As He cried out, "It is finished".
