Ye are not your own. For ye are bought with a price: therefore glorify God in your body, and in your spirit, which are God's.

But God

4:30 p.m. the telephone rang
The voice on the end of the line was fearful
Come quickly, I need help
Cold December night
Destiny took its toll
As she struggled to gain control
Fighting to live
Man showed no mercy
Her life was meaningless to them
They took what they wanted
Her life now was haunted
By the thought that noone would ever want her

What if the story ended there
What if the book was finished
The fairytale had no happy ever after
But God
Saw my need
Heard my heart's cry
Came to rescue me
He didn't set the clock
And leave it to unwind
The author interwove a mystery
In His love story
And it started with
But God

Broken, battered, bruised
Her heart was shattered
Wasn't it enough
Her story wasn't finished
Another life had been conceived
The product of man's depravity
But God in His love
Took a life to restore another
Her heart came to a stop
Her pen was stayed
The battle seemed over
The Devil had won

What if the story ended there
What if the book was finished
The fairytale had no happy ever after
But God
Saw my need
Heard my heart's cry
Came to rescue me
He didn't set the clock
And leave it to unwind
The author interwove a mystery
In His love story
And it started with
But God

She'd seen it all
Been through the fire
Seemed all that was left to do
Was to lay down and die
But God
Reached down
Took her broken heart
Picked up the pieces
And by the blood of Jesus
Filled her cup to overflowing
Helped her to love again
Set her on Christ so she could stand

My story didn't end there
My book isn't finished
My fairytale has a happy ever after
When God
Saw my need
Heard my heart's cry
Came to rescue me
He didn't set the clock
And leave it to unwind
My Daddy interwove a mystery
In His love story
And it started with
But God
